Work notifications by text.

The JLCS Essentials SMS notifications program sends work-related text messages to our own employees only — login verification codes, schedule and shift-change notifications, and urgent safety alerts. It is strictly optional, never marketing, and never a condition of employment, pay, or platform access.

How employees opt in.

One method — in the app, by the employee

The only way to opt in: the employee signs in to the JLCS Essentials app on their own phone and turns on "Receive work-related text messages" — the exact screen shown here. The setting is off by default; turning it on records consent with a timestamp on the employee profile. No one can opt an employee in on their behalf.

Revocable — three ways

Turn the setting off in the app, ask your company's administrator, or reply STOP to any message. Employees who never opt in receive all the same information through the app — nothing is withheld.

Message types

One-time login verification codes, schedule and shift-change notifications, and urgent field or safety alerts from supervisors. No marketing or promotional messages — ever.

JLCS Essentials: your sign-in code is 482913. Expires in 5 min.
JLCS Essentials: your Thursday shift moved to 6:00 AM at 5th & Main. Details in the app. Reply STOP to opt out.
JLCS Essentials safety alert: work paused at Northgate due to lightning within 8 miles. Shelter per the site plan. Reply STOP to opt out.

Frequency & rates

Message frequency varies with your role and site activity — typically a few messages per week, more during urgent events. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your number stays yours

Phone numbers collected for this program are used only to deliver these messages. They are never sold and never shared with third parties for marketing. See the Privacy Policy.

Reply STOP to any message to cancel — you'll receive one final confirmation message and nothing more. Reply HELP for help at any time, contact jlcs@jlcs.app, or turn the setting off on your employee profile in the app.
