About JLCS

We build the operating system field-based teams have been waiting for.

Twenty-three modules. One shared record. Designed first for the operations where every gap costs the most — and built so the next module you turn on makes every other module more useful.

The One-Record Principle

"Operations should run on one record — not seven disconnected systems."

When every system stores its own duplicate copy of a Job, a Crew, or a Vendor, databases drift. JLCS unifies your entire operation around a single shared record.

Our story

Built first for the hardest cases.

JLCS was designed around steel erection's edge cases — travel-heavy crews, multi-site lodging, Davis-Bacon prevailing-wage payroll, OSHA 300 logs. The rigor that earned makes the platform fit every other field-based industry.

Step 1The Problem

Seven tools, three spreadsheets, no shared truth

Most field operations run on a stack: paper daily logs, Excel timesheets, QuickBooks for POs, paper safety forms, separate scheduling, separate HR, separate payroll. Each one stores its own copy of the same Job, the same Crew, the same Vendor. Foremen retype. Payroll cleans up. Incidents email-thread for days.

Step 2The Bet

Build the platform around a single shared record

Define Jobs, Employees, Crews, Vendors, and Cost Codes once. Make every module reference them — never duplicate them. Then build module-to-module hooks so an incident automatically spawns a warning and schedules a drug test. So a check-in becomes a daily-report row and a timecard at the same time.

Step 3The Proof

23 modules across 5 categories — all on the same spine

Operations, Finance, People & HR, Tools, Admin. Each module is useful on its own; each one compounds in value when the next one is turned on. Per-tenant SaaS so each company runs on its own subdomain with isolated data, branded chrome, and only the modules it needs.

Step 4Today

One platform, every operation

Construction, field services, energy & utilities, manufacturing, property management, logistics — anywhere field crews show up to jobs and cost codes. The platform underneath is identical; the modules you turn on depend on your operation.

Engineering manifest

The values and trust foundations of JLCS.

We consolidated our engineering standards, core platform principles, and enterprise-grade security protocols into one transparent, interactive trust center. Toggle a category to explore details and live visual consoles.

Platform Principles

Our core framework is designed around data simplicity, modular compound growth, and touch-free external access.

  • One record, never duplicated: Jobs, Crews, and Vendors are defined once, so changes reflect everywhere instantly.
  • Modules compound in value: Each new module you enable hooks into existing ones automatically (e.g. Incident → Disciplinary Warning → Drug Test).
  • Public surfaces, no logins: Inspections, signing, and lodging use secure tokenized public URLs so external partners don't need accounts.

Engineering Rigor

We build resilient systems intended for immediate, gloved field execution and unified compliance audit tracks.

  • Field-First execution: Designed specifically for someone holding a mobile phone in cold weather, not just an office chair.
  • Unified approvals engine: A single approvals workflow handles timesheets, expense claims, and material catalog orders coherently.
  • Regulatory-grade PDFs: Outputs exact, compliant OSHA 300 logs, AIA G702 progress invoices, and certified payroll batch CSVs.

Trust & Security

Enterprise-grade security guarantees data privacy, role authorization, and absolute multi-tenant tenant boundary isolation.

  • Per-tenant subdomain isolation: Each company runs on its own subdomain (company.jlcs.app) preventing cross-tenant leakage.
  • Data encryption everywhere: TLS 1.2+ in transit and AES-256 at rest, with per-tenant key separation for sensitive fields.
  • RBAC permission matrix & Audits: Role-Based Access Control and per-action audit logs detailing user, timestamps, and state diffs.

Leadership

The people behind the platform.

A small team of operators, designers, and engineers — most of whom have run a daily report from a job site or stitched a payroll batch by hand.

JL

Jordan Lee

Founder · CEO

Twenty years in steel erection ops; built JLCS to replace the spreadsheets she was tired of saving as v17_FINAL_final.

MR

Marcus Rivera

Head of Engineering

Designed the shared-record spine. Believes the right answer to "another module?" is usually "yes, and here's the hook."

PK

Priya Kapoor

Head of Design

Owner of the production sidebar. Argues that field-first means a foreman with one glove off should never need a tutorial.
